But how many bats do the Yanks need? They should think about trading a bat for a starter :manny:
Ones who come through in big time situations. Make no mistake, when everyone is healthy that's still something to monitor.

Here's the problem that I have: They don't wanna spend big money on quality starting pitching, yet they don't wanna give up their best prospects for said pitching.

Can't have it both ways.
they coulda easily justified Corbin. Hell, I wasn't a big fan of the Paxton but even that was justifiable (we'd be screaming for the Yankees to get him if he was still a Mariner now). Pitching is where you can't be cheap. This organization is as scarred as a battered housewife when it comes to pitching.

Yankees better not trade Andujar

Not because I am super high on him or view him as untouchable. But rather because the when the Yankees wanted Gerrit Cole, negotiations fell through because Pittsburgh wanted Andujar and we didn't want to give him up.

If they end up trading Andujar for a lesser pitcher, I'll be pissed :snoop:

There’s no excuse for the Yankees allowing this trade. Extremely frustrating...

To be fair, when Gerritt Cole was available, Andujar was our only legit 3B option. Urshela only came to our consciousness during this season. Lemathieu wasn't signed at that point, IIRC. Just the same, what Pittsburgh ended up with was significantly less than what they demanded and stayed firm on from us.

At best, Paxton would only be a #3 in NY. Happ about a #4. Cashman wasn't serious about getting that lockdown (possible #1) SP when the options were available. Now we're paying for it. He spared no expense on shoring up the bullpen or adding more offense. But for some reason, he's hesitant on shoring up our most glaring weakness, regardless of cost.
