You trade a prospect for a chip and on that shytty Yankees rotation he would automatically be the 1.5 starter. He was an all star this year unlike pitchers 2-5. Go for the kill. Yankees fukked themselves b/c price for other pitchers is gonna go up even more now.Not giving up Garcia for a #3 starter with only one more year of control seems like the right move to me.
Stroman never fit the bill as an ace to me even though he's having a really good year.

At this stage, I'd hold off on Garcia, but I'd empty out the prospect clip along with Andujar, Bird and Frazier, if it will bring us back BOTH MadBum and Bauer. I just don't care to be patient any longer. We need difference makers in the rotation, now and come October IF we can get there.
The offense will only carry us so far and the BP is being overworked through July. We need quality SP now and definitely in the postseason.
