Pull guns on Brian Cashman brehs

Wild video shows cops pulling guns on Yankees GM Brian Cashman
https://nypost.com/2019/08/14/wild-video-shows-cops-pulling-guns-on-yankees-gm-brian-cashman

Yankees GM Brian Cashman’s harrowing run-in with gun-toting Connecticut cops — in which they demand he put his hands up before recognizing him — was captured on newly released police bodycam video.

“Put your hands out the window!” yells an officer from the town of Darien, who stopped the Bombers executive’s car last Friday and drew their weapons, thinking it had been stolen.

Cashman, 52, is heard on the recording trying to explain that the NYPD had recovered the white Jeep Wrangler in the Bronx — and he was driving it to police in Norwalk for an evidence check.

“I picked it up…,” Cashman starts to say.

:mjlol: ok. Severino wont be ready. And I doubt Montgomery will be either.

For one they’re both on pace to be ready in September barring any setbacks. Secondly it’s not about being make “starts” in the playoffs. Even if they’re at a 50-70 pitch limit that’s a huge plus considering we have maybe 3 pitchers who can reasonably be expected to go 5+ innings

Baseball as a whole is going away from the SP must go 7 innings/110 pitches model. If you have them, great. If you don't, you have to get 27 outs some way.

Cashman's has been building the bullpen into arguably the top bullpen in MLB for years. We have 3 legit closer-types in the backend, and another on the way back.

We've found some success stealing games going the opener route, which plays into our strength. Add Sevy, Betances, Monty and Losiaga into that mix, where they don't have to go 5 innings or pitch a lockdown 7th, 8th or 9th innings, and we have something formidable.

Exactly. My prediction is we’ll see Tanaka and Paxton penciled in as starters and every other game with German/Sevy/Montgomery in there for ~4 innings and figuring out the rest as we go along. Boone will have a hell of a time piecing games together but I’m excited

No way Montgomery is going to pitch over someone like CC. I can guarantee you that.

Boone has been leaving the starters in for 1 inning too long, hope he fixes that in the playoffs , no margin for error , it wont be blue jays and orioles :patrice:

I was more or less thinking of Montgomery as a mid-game long reliever who could make multiple appearances in a series. I’m not sure that CC is capable of that at this point, but I’d be fine with using him as a 2-3 inning opener for a game

CC as a mid game relievers something I see envisioning come Playoff time.

It’s definitely a role that he can do way better than Monty,

Breh we talking about a guy with Post season experience. I’ll trot him out there over a guy who hasn’t pitched in a fukking year. C’mon now.

I’m just spitballing, we have no clue if Montgomery will even make the postseason roster let alone be a viable option. My point is think about how long it would take CC to get warmed up mid-game, you think he’ll be able to get ready in a pinch? That’s why I think he’s best suited to be a scheduled opener while others provide long relief
