yeah amazon aint shyt. this girl i know tore her mcl walking up the steps from the bathroom on some fluke shyt and they was like nahhh we aint paying shyt out.

Thats not a work related injury. They shouldnt be liable. I just had this situation going down at my job with one of my employees. She fell down the stairs, or so she said. Nothing about her responsibilities warrants her even being in that area. Being hurt at the job isnt the same as being hurt on the job.

Look breh, it aint my job to make out claims nor can I. She was trying to hit a lick because she knew she was about to get fired. Im cool with that too since the shyt isnt coming out my check either way but my Workers Comp firm and lawyers shut that shyt down immediately. She just "fell" on her own and they didnt pay it. I made sure she getting unemployment though and she didnt really deserve that because of why I was firing her. Cant get every stain you shoot for.

i don't see why that should be a deterrent for people to not start one, if anything that'd be more of an indication that it's heavily necessary.

because temp workers don't have the same status as company employees. you will just be replaced without much paperwork long before a union is organized. that's why most warehouse spaces are using temp labor. less rights in the labor force, almost no benefits or paid vacation etc.

Walmart employs their people but they will work damn hard to make sure none of their stores ever unionize because it sets the legal precedent for other locations to do so. They would rather take the L and loose a Walmart in a city/town than allow that.

The link below is the closest Amazon has come to a union... The reason being the demographics of that work site location, they knew they weren't going to get off easy. Their prospective pool of workers in the area is all from one community.
