I work for Amazon as a driver. Alot of people are talking about protesting at my company. We're getting screwed by Amazon. We are the last company to leave the warehouse every day while having the 2 biggest company here. A new company just came through but somehow get there stuff before us. I thought after the holidays work would slow but now I'm more busy than every. I'm a good driver so I get done at 4 or 5 every day but some people don't finish until like 8 at night and I feel bad for them. I'm try to figure out how we can get the majority of the people to protest. What I'm looking for is either more pay or earlier start time. I want both but willing to take either.
It's not as simple as replacing the people with robots. When I worked there the robots weren't very efficient and that hasn't changed in the few years since.Ever heard of warehouse robots? Amazon will replace you if it is feasible.

I was just talking to a friend of mine who works as a manager in one of the warehouses and he told me that they've been shipping majority of the orders to warehouses without robots because they cant keep up with the workload and giving workers mandatory overtime.
This is in California where there are more robot ran warehouses than there are human ones, the non robot warehouses are doing the work faster with less locations.

I’m all for it, I’ve worked in unionized and non unionized for the same company and it’s a drastic different. It’s a reason why when these companies get the petition files to vote that they spend thousands and thousands of dollars to persuade you to vote no lol they always tell you why it’s bad but not one single reason it’s good.
The biggest irony of it all is when they bring in the “ guys “ they are paying 3k a day to persuade you, is that they all say they’ve all worked for the union in the past and they know the real. Yet they put in a hard 25 plus years and now all of a sudden they know how bad it is lol meanwhile still collecting union pension lmao it’s a joke.

Warehouse work is temporary work. Build yourself up and move on. Go to school or get a trade in your off time.

Some are treating it like it's a career, but it's not. Many have gotten injured on those type of jobs and don't get much of anything. I remember working in a warehouse and a breh that used to work for FedEx came in. His back was already so messed up he couldn't make it 4 hours working in the warhouse. He had to shuffle his feet to walk out of the building. Basically he still had to try and find a job somewhere after injuring his back on the job at FedEx. Whatever they gave him wasn't enough to chill for a little while and rest.
Use it only for as long as it takes to get up out of there.

You're not the only person who knows they're getting screwed.
Talk to your coworkers about it, set up that camaraderie with a growing number, once you have a fairly substantial group, then the collective-power really starts to show.
