We don't need every Black person to get on one accord at the same time. We have enough like minded Black people throughout the diaspora to make moves right now. You gotta connect with them and tune out the naysayers who have a problem for every solution.

A lot of times we don't do better because we don't know better. There is definitely a lot of not wanting to do better and/or short term gratification at the expense of the long term. We don't put the value on education and true ownership on a pedestal like other groups do too as well.

we need a culture shift but those with the power to do on a huge scale don't care.

Instead of roasting nikkas for not having the flyest clothes they should be roasting each other over test scores. Higher standards, and invest in tutors. Don’t waste 18 years of your life raising ignorant children. Ignorant low literacy people have never held any real capital or power EN MASSE, unless they were trained in productive disciplines. That is how Latinos offset low test scores, their fathers, uncles, cousins etc train them in work. It is also how we attained success after slavery, because some of us opened manufacturing centers before they were burned down. This is the thing that a lot of our people have missed in the current generation…

It’s about building for the NEXT generation.

I see it in my office. Some of the cleaning staff may be middle age/slightly older Latinos…but when you talk to them, their kids are in 4 year institutions, going to grad school, etc.

Shyt, I remember I had a Latino makeup lady I went to for YEARS who I had met when I was young and I’d always go back to her makeup counter, even just to say hi.
Lady was working retail for her entire career and mentioned that her son had just completed his PhD.
I will say a lot of these ppl don’t get caught up in where they are positioned in life/career. When they have kids, everything is poured into them and they tell them the truth about climbing the ladder and doing what they have to do to reach a higher status.

These ppl are making sure their next generation truly has NEXT

@Wildhundreds and @Ezekiel 25:17 think that Latinos are just washing black Americans in every aspect because they have a few shytty supermarkets and restaurants in their neighborhoods.

When in actuality, most non-white Latinos are at the bottom as well.

Some of their men are involved in illegal activities and killing each other, just like some of ours are. Some of their women are out here creating b*stard children with no good men, just like some of ours are.

But because some Spanish speaking CAC make an ignorant ass comment like most CACs do, we are now supposed to be alarmed when in actuality Asians are the ones that are about to run shyt and move differently than CACs do.

And since you mentioned it @Wildhundreds let me let you in on a secret about some of those “mercados”.

I used to be a fixer (someone who is contracted to help struggling restaurants turn their business around) and I had to service a few Mexican restaurants.

10/10 times, the “owners” would be Mexican but the actual financiers were CACs. All of their finances were controlled by white owned conglomerates who wanted a piece of the Latin market and just chose to make a brown person the face of the business.

I wouldn’t be surprised if many of these mercados are the same way.
