I gotta agree with this; Black Americans (ADOS/Freedmen/FBA/etc...) getting reparations is a boon for the entire diaspora. But some folks that claim we should be "one" and not "divisive" are constantly throwing shade towards our reparations claims.

I know all of this breh, and then some. . Petes Market (for example) is CAC owned in Chicago, but the face of it is latino.

When I say supermercado, im speaking of the ones inside of their communities that sit on the corner walking distance from their homes. Those are not white owned. I know the difference between a mom and pop store vs a white owned establishment with a latino face. And to go a bit deeper, if you go deep into these red states, where they have these big factories, mexicans are there. And they have their own markets and restaurants alongside the white owned establishments.

Next time you visit Chicago and fly into midway airport. Go down Pulaski and Kedzie Avenue, from 55th to 71st. All latin businesses, all owned by mexicans. I know this because I've talked with them about it. A lot of that shyt is making money under the table as well.

Bottom line, im not talking as if they're perfect, im just pointing out they have a means to generate a dollar and they circle that money within their community.. Latino immigration really isn’t anything new.

You could make the argument it’s upticked, but even then that’s questionable because you have to also take into the account it may have been easier in the past for them to be here illegally.

They may have the ability to generate and recycle money around their communities, but they’ve been had that ability and where has it gotten them?

They’ve had rights in this country as long as we have, if not longer depending on who you ask (Mexicans, for example, were lynched in the southwest while in places like New Orleans they were classified as white).

And they’re still at the bottom.

I just dislike the whole notion that they’re coming over here and outperforming us because it’s false for one, and for two CACs will point to them and say

People often get confused thinking numbers matter when really, power is usually held in smaller, tight-knit groups.

Black Americans are doing the right thing. We are delineating and making our identity and lineage concrete and the basis of who we are; that is something these other groups aren't doing. These other groups are relying on massive numbers with no real tight bonds. That is a recipe for disaster.

Jewish people are as successful as they are because they hold onto their origins. Power is built by people who know who they are and where they need to be. That is what we are doing now. We don't need a massive coalition of non-ADOS/FBA/Freedmen, all we need is our group to start moving in lockstep with each other because of an understanding of our history.

ADOS history isn't taught because it is powerful. No other group has such a unique origin story.
