There are plenty of black Americans who have degrees of mixture already that identify as black and nothing but black.

I can use myself as an example. I have a very light complexion and I have reddish-brown hair.

I get the “what are you?” or “what are you mixed with?” question all the time. It’s not uncommon for Hispanics to walk up to me and begin speaking Spanish.

I still don’t go for the bullshyt or let myself get put against black people. I give black people, regardless of skin complexion, as much opportunity as I can whenever I get my foot in the door somewhere.

You could maybe make the argument that I’m apart of said “buffer class” because I am given opportunities that a mono racial black person doesn’t get.

And I would agree, I’m not going to pretend CACs don’t view me a bit differently because of how I look.

But many mixed/light skinned black people in America have used their priveleges to help out other black people.

Not hold them back like in Latin America.

I don’t know how they’d manage to import that here, even by mixing with us, unless the majority of them just did so en mass.

Through their culture, granted you are right in some cases. A black columbian will probably identify with a Black american before aligning himself with a white argentinian but in mixed countries like PR, DR, Cuba, CR, Panama culture precedes all that why it might be a slippery slope with them on top of that their families will be supermixed so you know off rip they won't have the same racial views as us. That why you get the mi no black papi because some of them don't subscribe to being black just because you have 1 black parent unlike the way americans do

The Asians and mexicans here don't want any black people in their communities. Matter of fact, the residents of china town want a new highschool built for their kids, instead of sharing one with the already existing school thats occupied by black students. I believe its Dunbar Academy I'll check.

Same with the latino community, UNO has built new schools for them within their community.. And during the riots of 2020, the latinos beat and killed black people driving through Cicero Illinois, thinking they were looters. Some of those black people was just going home within that community.

There isn't racial harmony in Chicago.
