As long as they are making profit on their systems and their original IP stay with them, they'll forever be profitable. I just started playing Super Mario Brothers 3D and Donkey Kong with my kids (they're 6 and 4) and they're already hooked. Mario is damn near as popular as Mickey Mouse. Once Nintendo makes they're Nintendo Land theme park, it will be a wrap!

Nintendo seems content to do things their own way, and if that means without third-party support, they seem to be okay with that. I can't see this company staying in the console business long term with this philosophy. I do think there is a market to be catered to that Sony & Microsoft don't seem to go after, but Nintendo can't just bury their heads in the sand either when it comes to technology and their competitors.
yeah i can't support this type thinking. don't need the most powerful console out to make noise but if 3rd parties aint fukkin w/ you then you doing it wrong. that new zelda getting praised i believe mostly bc nikkas aint had a decent meal in a min but to me its looking funny in the light...
I'm buying the NX, cuz I love first party Nintendo games, but I gotta say: What the fukk Nintendo? 1 mistake of making an underpowered console in the Wii U is understandable, buy after that failed miserably, how are you gonna make the exact same mistake again? When this fails, which it will, this is all Nintendo's fault. They'll deserve it too. I can't believe they're doing this to themselves again. The only way this works is if it's $200 and super powerful when in portable mode (in comparison to the n3DS and Vita). That's the only way this works.

I'm gonna laugh myself into a diabetic coma 20 years from now when Nintendo's cash hoard runs out 'cause the company insists on letting these old heads who can't even do a dragon punch on a d-pad much less complete the first level of any of these games continue to make big decisions like this without thinking on ways to keep whay fledgling user base they have outside of the Japanese that fukks with this shyt.
You'd think they'd learn after the weak sales of the Wii and the disdain for the Wii-U and try to right the ship somewhat, but no. That money will run out, Nintendo, might not be today, but keep this bullshyt up and it will one day.

As long as it's on par with the current Sony and Microsoft offerings then I could give a fukk less. It's nice to see one of the companies not focusing on specs or vr but the actual thing you buy a console for...games. Give me at least 15+ games in the first 3 years that are exclusives and not remasters. you have already surpassed the competition in my eyes

nah nintendo doing all the right things to ensure they don't get 3rd party support. its been damn near over a decade 3rd parties haven't messed with nintendo all because they refuse to move with the times.

DUDE, the lack of specs is bullshyt though. Nintendo focuses on technology with all the console gimmicks man. Theyre just as gimmicky as sony and MS with their vr bullshyt. Theu just refuse to take chances on specs because they dont want to lose a lot of money. Theyre probably BARELY turning profit. at people worrying about specs that haven't been revealed yet.Yes, The NX will not even have specs. It'll just be a cardboard box that says "NX" on it. The games will be imagination cards Nitnendo sells you.
