Seven Pounds is very good.
MIB3 is a series ending movie, done for the fans of that franchise (and of course the money), not my cup of tee.

If you're talking about the quality of films, how did he "fall off" -- if it's all about film quality, I would argue he was never really "on". Smith was never a huge star because he was some earth-shattering thespian. He was just a big-budget action movie star. He obviously has some great performances, but in his run on top he had just as many shytty movies as he did good ones.
And the reason he's making less movies is only by choice. You really think he couldn't get any role he wanted now?? fukk outta here.
MIB3 was underrated, Seven Pounds made me sleepy but was a really good story, Hancock was a solid superhero movie. I haven't seen After Earth so I can't judge that. I don't think someone can fall off until they have multiple flops + bad performances, and Will hasn't had that.
