Are you sure about this statement? Dogs are not rare in Black Families at all in the US. I see plenty of our people with dogs from small to large. You can find even videos of some of our people showing off their dogs. In my neighborhood, which is majority Black and middle to upper middle class, you can easily see our people walking their dogs in the morning. Heck, some have two they are walking.

This idea that Black people rarely like dogs seems to be a stereotype that has no basis in fact to me, when I consider how many dogs I have seen being owned by our people over my 55 years on this Earth.

I think you read too much into that. He wasn’t saying we don’t fukk with dogs, but that the way white people love their dogs can be too much, especially like letting dogs lick their mouth or sharing food off a spoon with their dogs.
