I never said he was the answer but Wentz def is not. This needs to be a complete rebuild
Yeah this team has been papering over the cracks since 2015ish. I feel like we've been having the same draft/off season discussions since, and even before then.

Aging o line
Linebackers
Safety
Corners
Wide Receivers

This roster needs a serious injection of talent, or at the least, evaluation of the young talent under a different coaching regime.

I was reading other suggestions on this....I like this decision. As long as we can get an OC with it this is solid.....if you want to win you need the respect of the locker room and have it unified Deuce can provide that.......our championship year was more about chemistry and unification than anything ......it showed in the celebrations and player interactions

did yall not see the coaching staff doug wanted for next season? thats the real reason hes fired. you cant only win 4 games, destroy a "franchise" QB and then want to promote within the staff. doug didnt want outside voices, lurie disagreed and here we are :yeshrug:. i didnt mind him back this year until i saw that tweet earlier today.

Minus the Press Taylor upgrade, the rest of those ideas aren't half bad
Undlin turned Jalen Mills, Maddox, and LeBlanc into half decent players out of nowhere...
Patrick Robinson had his best season that one year...

and in 2018 when all of our starting DB's were hurt, he plugged in some guys off the street and was able to somewhat work with that...

But I see where Lurie is coming from, the coaching has been stale for 2 seasons... need new blood, especially with the other teams at least having one solid unit - DAL offense, NY and WAS defense...

"I think the way I look at it is we have an asset and we have a talent. He's a great guy. He wants nothing but to win big and win Lombardi trophies for Philadelphia. This guy is tireless. He has his heart in the right place. He is really dedicated offseason, on-season. He's just what you want. And it behooves us as a team with a new coach and new coaching staff to be able to really get him back to that elite progression where he was capable of, and understand at the same time that there have been many quarterbacks in their fourth and fifth year, if you trace this, you can come up with many, many quarterbacks that have a single year where it's just, 'Whoa, the touchdown to interception ratio is not what you want.' And we're talking some great ones like Peyton and Ben and guys like that.

"Sources describe an Eagles offense in 2020 that lacked an identity, in part as a result of a sizable and mismatched group of assistants and consultants brought in last offseason who struggled to get on the same page. The absence of a central vision for what the offense should look like made quarterbacking an uphill climb, and all the voices created a cacophony for Pederson and Wentz alike, sources said".
