My thing is: the treatment of LGBT is increasingly more a cultural issue more so than it is systematic.

So in this case, who and exactly what are they protesting against?

After the civil rights act of 1964 passed, black activism shifted less toward trying to change legal policy and more toward awakening Black minds and reaffirming Black Personhood/Self Determination.

In a post legaization of gay marriage world (therefore recognizing the legitimacy of LGBT), LGBT need to realize that's THEIR next step.

Instead of trying to hijack an movement that's targeted toward changing legal institutions and operations that reinforce the continued violent abuse of Black folks.

I dont think youre hearing me. White Supremacy is ultimately the culprit that puts Black folks in dysfunctional living situations that get them killed.

I dont know the circumstances that led to Tony McDade taking revenge for being jumped. Maybe it was due to him being picked on due to being LGBT.

But even before Tony McDade was trans, Tony McDade was black and so were the men who jumped him. That alone put their lives in the hands of state sanctioned violence and oppression. Which is why its superfluous to add "Black Trans lives matter" as being Black informs more on your life conditions than being Trans.

I live in Seattle, one of the capital cities of supporting fakkitry and STILL Black LGBT here live a far worse quality of life than cac trans. Why do you think that is?
