when I saw the tag + the title of this thread, I expected to see realistic solutions proposed for decreasing the amount of guns in this country but alas.

I've put forth many possible solutions over the years about anti-Black rap music that promotes and celebrates the deaths of Black people. We've even seen models in other countries that have successfully de-platformed said content but that's neither here nor there.

I bring it up so often to highlight a cognitive dissonance. Many so-called Black people claim to hate the violence but will even characterize that same violence as entertainment when it's over an instrumental. When reality mirrors the death cult content they have an insatiable appetite for, there's a bunch of hand wringing and empty rhetoric.

Why not use this thread as an opportunity to make your case for decreasing the amount of guns in the country instead of tagging people in for arguments that no one is interested in having with you.

And I, too, have offered solutions to reduce “aNti-BlaCk” gun violence. Several, but you already knew that. We’ve definitely seen the results of these initiatives in virtually every other developed nation. The U.S. remains the outlier. On the other hand I don’t recall seeing any studies on the impact of de-platforming rap music. Cite those for me when you have a chance, brother.

If someone described this scenario to me, I would be surprised if they weren’t black, and that’s sad. So yeah, you can say guns is an American problem, but a ten year old dying in a crossfire in her own city is indicative of a type of dysfunction that is bigger than gun control

You're conflating separate ideas. My desire to de-platform content that celebrates the deaths of Black people isn't couched in the idea that it will end gun violence so there's no need to bring any studies to bolster an argument I'm not making to begin with.
