As a Dallas Cowboys fan, I absolutely adored prime TO, Deion, and Irvin. They had swag, they ran their mouths, and they usually showed up and produced, similar to LeBron.
BUT, when they fell short, they definitely took the blame, and deservedly so. It was moreso TO, since honestly, I've never seen Deion or Irvin pull the shyt that LeBron has pulled in the 2011 and now 2013 Finals.
Mayweather is my favorite current boxer. I wasn't alive when Babe Ruth was mashing homers, and honestly, I'd rather watch Sugar Ray Robinson, Tommy Hearns, Marvin Hagler, Roy Jones Jr. and Mike Tyson highlights than Ali.
Regardless, what I'm saying is that shyt-talking and having swag is a part of sports. These guys are the best in the world, and it's perfectly fine to act like it in most cases. However, when they screw up, which they almost inevitably due, it's hard to feel bad for these guys.
Deion used to never even join in on the defensive huddle because his mentality was "I"ll just shut down this half of the field." Most of the time that was sufficient, but those few times where he gave up a long completion, I was definitely super pissed.
All these guys have faults that get overlooked because they're winners. But when they come up short, and they're in the media limelight (like they've always been), I don't feel bad for them when they're portrayed negatively because it was their own decision to constantly put quotables in the newspaper. So to answer the OPs question: No, I absolutely do not feel bad for LeBron in the least. If we're talking about a guy like Dirk or Duncan, guys who never even mention themselves as Kings or Chosen Ones, and they're getting shyt on for not being GOAT, I might feel bad because they never asked for that comparison. LeBron on the other hand...
