I remember reading some articles about how some of organizations they funneled money into were more focused on trans support groups then other stuff like fixing the economic conditions

The reality is that the official website talked about "tearing down the nuclear family, Trans, etc." And we all looked passed it because we didn't think they would end up actually scamming. But they did.


I hate to say it, but them being LGBT women shielded them from a lot of criticism. If some black men were to grift, we'd be giving them more heat.

What do you suggest Op?

I'd love to see us pushing them for greater visibility. Not necessarily transparency, because I can see right wingers knowing exactly how BLM spends their money bad (in an ideal world where every cent BLM spends pays dividends for our causes in general). But you know how I can pull up a picture of a bunch of proud boys holding Nazi signs at a rally from last week if I want to? We should be seeing that equivalent with BLM agents (actual paid BLM agents and not volunteer protestors doing all the work) pushing social causes.

They should have been and should currently be in classrooms and board meetings protesting all the Anti-CRT shyt that we basically gave up on. They should have been passing out pamphlets and making social media posts educating black parents in those districts how they can pressure school boards to not give in to white supremacists, and/or making teachers and librarians feel like they were protected. Also they should be pushing for voting in primary elections to forward the causes of our people nationwide. The conversations in Cali and New York around reparations could be pushed to other stateswith the right candidates in primaries, for example. Their speakers and agents should be doing news circuits to push narratives in the mainstream media, improve their own legitimacy, and also work hand in hand with the NAACP (who HAVE been trying to still make statements and take action such as what they did against DeSantis's attacks in Florida, even though they've lost a lot of steam over the decades).

That kind of thing. I should not be wondering what the fukk BLM is doing for us RIGHT NOW when I can see what republicacs, Trump, and Elon Musk are doing against us RIGHT NOW

Wait why we adding Tariq in this. He never took money and didn’t produce while the others did. Your right though me and my ex used to talk about this because she works in non profits and she basically said there was no way untrained people should have that much money they were responsible for because they could have helped a ton of people if used correctly.
