have you watched any of the games? it's an awful product more times than not.
NFL Network, not the NFL, wants/needs to increase income via advertisement money and the only way to boost that is to telecast a game. I don't know what the long-term picture is, but I would venture to guess that NFL Network is hoping to generate TNF popularity and then sell it off to ESPN, NBC, ABC, CBS or whoever is willing to drop some diamonds in their azz crack.
