dont trust drm esp with EA and them shuttering games after a couple years, fukk that give me the physical copy

That's another reason I go so hard against msoft' for that DRM shyt because what happens when they no longer wants to operate those servers and your game needs an update. uh -oh

He's right though. Many times I've been playing BF4 and wanted to switch over to AC4 but had to get out of the moment and go through the motion of taking a disc out putting it in its proper case and putting the game of choice into the disc drive putting both cases back where I store them all before I could play. Kind of an annoyance especially since on both systems we have to install them anyway. Until we start seeing a price discrepancy of buying digital versus picking up the physical I'm not moving to a digital library to get rid of the annoyance.
who is stopping you from buying your games digitally

:pacspit: why the fukk you think microsoft lost so much love when they revealed the xbox one. they single handily destroyed their customer base with insane ideology and business practices that are way beyond draconian! if you have no internet you cant play your game? WTF!!!!!????

[Meach] Nah, breh. They did it for the people. Ya'll just too stupid to see it. [/Meach]

You can't share/trade/sell digital. And everybody can't/doesn't want to download 40gb games.

xbox ones digital sharing system was a joke :mjlol: wasn't it something like you can only play for an hour? either way, it's 100x easier to loan a disc than it is to re-download a 40gig game.

i really wish M$ didn't flip flop on all their policies. i want you guys to end up that bullshyt console the way it was originally intended.

lazy ass nikkas on here like "i'd rather give up the right to my games because im too lazy to switch 'em out" :mjlol:

i digitally purchased black flag, never again. now im stuck with that game til death, when i could have sold it for 40 bucks when it was still new (thus, only costing me 25 bucks)

Lol, the way you explained that was like getting out of foreplay to go find a condom :russ: and you ain't ready to go all in (pause) on streaming porn to get your skeet on.

I buy XBLA games digital no prob, but the pricing model needs to change for major releases. No reason a digital copy should be priced the same as a physical.

there was never any indication that M$ was intending to make the games cheaper. they were even asked about it, and they said that's something like 'that could be discussed later down the line'. but if they were serious about the shyt, they would have just said "games will retail for 40 on xbox one" straight out the gate.

i mean, look at it from a business standpoint. they just took away your physical game copy, what's their incentive to make the game cheaper; you have no fukkin choice BUT to buy it.

With the original policies you would have been able to trade in your digital copies and you wouldn't have to download any 40gb files.

I love how the fact that the PC has more options than steam is being lost, but I'll let that go.

The biggest fukkups by Microsoft are clear:

The messaging was all fukked up and this part is probably more important than them implementing their draconian like features onto a BRAND NEW CONSOLE THAT THEY WANT $500 FOR

The 24 Hour rule was a bunch of nonsense, not even steam has such a ridiculous requirement on a platform that its users are more comfortable than consoles in being online all the time, let that sink in for a bit.

The $500 price tag is already bad and didn't learn the lesson from Sony, we might indeed have a ceiling that can be charged on consoles...and they were trying to do it with inferior internals.

Also, I've asked this question before, but I never get a clear answer from you cats. With the exception of Nintendo, do you think Sony or Microsoft can really get much momentum behind them appealing to casuals? Reason I ask this is because this is what started this snowball for Microsoft...these morons actually had the audacity to have a major release talking about TV almost exclusively...after building the xbox brand as a gaming platform. Do these guys know their audience? I'm all for expanding their audience, but secure the $500 from the hardcore crowd first...the casuals will follow. Sony could have come out and I think have a little bit better results as they have a more loyal following, but MICROSOFT? The company that has released 2 consoles that people view as FPS boxes is going to try to appeal to casuals...for $500...with a bundled camera that most hardcore gamers do not care about. What kind of logic is this :what:

NO WONDER Matrrick was fired.

Don't take my word for it though. I already broke it down multiple times...a casual is going to look at the xbox one like :ehh:, but I already have a Roku/Apple TV/Chromecast for a fraction of the price and can do most of what I need to do already.

Is the all in one box intriguing? Sure, but at $500 you lose people...you just can't do that :russ:

You win launches with the hardcore crowd unless you are Nintendo. Any other company? Sit the fukk down with the idea of appealing to casuals first...you will get burned just like Microsoft got burned. Microsoft will NEVER make this mistake again.
