That and I was expecting a more sinister tone. This felt…dare I say…M. Night Shyamalan-ish.

This shyt was way worse than barbarian. I can't think of literally one movie that requires leaps of logic like this one does.

Takes the kids dad to be interviewed and says she will do the talking cause he had a stroke and everybody is just like ok cool this is legit. Kid buying 100's of dollars of soup and nobody is like why the fukk this kid buying all this soup. Nobody comes looking for his parents EVER. Movie makes it a point to show ring doorbell footage of the kids leaving but nobody in that neighborhood had one to see them running into that fukking house huh. This shyt was beyond :mjlol:. Gay dude saying "i think she just cut my hair" after literally WATCHING HER CUT HIS HAIR enraged me for some reason to:mjlol:

ChatGPT couldn't write something this stupid.

No one has to worry about this bein “long legs “ :mjlol:

levels of trash but maybe I need to stop drinkin alcahol before watchin horror movies:francis:

Koz nothin on this made me feel on edge the whole way through, or made it feel like a horror :stopitslime:

Which is fine as I wasn’t really expecting that

I’m keen to understand outside of the gore violence what makes this a horror ?

“Bring her back “had a lot more elements of a horror then this di from suspense , anticipation of what was gonna happen next :hubie:

This bein structured very similar to barbarian also , makes me me question his storytelling ability in film , is this the only way he can deliver a film

( side note I have no issue with the structure and the way he tied it altogether )

I stand by 7 as a very good ratin , at no stretch, qualify as bein a shxt ratin or a shyt film:stopitslime:

But blassik ?? Maybe I have to watch it again , very good yes:unimpressed::manny:

I do feel I enjoyed sinners a lil more , and bring her back , but have no issue wit anyone wantin to place this above:ufdup::whoa:

And I also enjoyed barbarian apart from the endin , all In all

Def worth the price of admission, and when I think about it more I could see the ratin goin higher when I factor how well it’s put together

The ending once again didn’t really nail it for me but whatever :yeshrug:

Yeah it was some goofy shyt in the end

Just a goofy dark humor version of both parts of It but with a female Pennywise.

Not trash and it’s a decent watch but it ain’t this masterpiece :comeon:

And I’ve noticed this movie is getting a HUGE PASS for the extremely goofy shyt that happened at the end but 28 Years later was panned for doing the same thing and also its bait and switch from the trailer:pachaha:

it goes off the rails because people don't know what plot holes really are.

"how could they outsmart search dogs?"
I show how from the real life myths that people believe about bloodhounds

"why didn't they search Alex's house?"
they show people searching the house at least once, the 2 detectives. And Gladys basically moved the kids whenever they came to search. Which they show on screen.

the first 5 or 10 minutes of the movies is the little kid narrative voice talking about the investigating and they show all the searching and flashbacks.
but people on the internet still think it's a plot hole.

:laff:

I'm done. I know this movie is fire because people want to be THAT GUY that found the mistake.

I think yall are conflating plot holes with nitpicking. There are legit plot holes in this movie. It’s all good tho. It’s a GOOD movie. But if you want it to be great we gotta talk about the plot holes.

Nitpicking on the other hand is asking shyt like:
-Why didn’t the teacher notice all the papers with the classmates names were missing when she saw Alex?
-How was Archer able to paint Justine’s car without being caught?
-Why didn’t Gladys just kill Justine when she was sleep in the car?
-etc

These are things that don’t really take away from the movie and you can suspend your disbelief on. To my knowledge, nobody in this thread is nitpicking like that.

Just watched it and not a bad movie but definitely not a good one either. I’ve definitely seen better and I’ve definitely seen worse. If anything the potential interned theorizing and lore-mining might end up being more entertaining than the actual movie. Still always glad to see Yung Han getting roles though cause Solo was a pretty good flick IMO :ehh:

..... i didnt read through this thread yet . . .. but fresh out the theater . . . my first reaction is that this had a similar concept as...

. . . but the final 15 - 20 minutes had the room wilding out . . . . . and the way it ended was executed perfectly . . .
