One thing I wanted to touch on some in here.

You notice that Josh Brolin's character is under a spell for a few minutes and then snaps out of it when Alex casts his own spell/reverses the witch. He is still completely coherent and himself when he "wakes up." I think that's likely because it was only a couple of minutes.

Alex parents were said to be "unable to care for him" they might have severe brain damage as they were in a spell for what appeared to be several weeks. They were the first ones to be placed under a spell when she arrived to town.

Some of the kids are "able to start talking again" after about a year or so. Some might be able to make a full recovery from the spell or at least recover somewhat because they were under the spell a shorter amount of time than the parents were.

That's my theory on this....

This shyt was terrible. Cac shyt at it's finest, or worse, and the only thing entertaining about it is already the nonsensical theories and shyt people are coming up with that absolutely positively have nothing to do with this trash ass movie.

Congrats Zach you the new king of cac shyt. Well done.

Got me with Barbarian and got me with this. Aint no way I'm ever going to see another one of this dudes movies. I'm probably going to have to look up who the director is of a movie before watching the trailer so I don't see it on accident.

This shyt was way worse than barbarian. I can't think of literally one movie that requires leaps of logic like this one does.

Takes the kids dad to be interviewed and says she will do the talking cause he had a stroke and everybody is just like ok cool this is legit. Kid buying 100's of dollars of soup and nobody is like why the fukk this kid buying all this soup. Nobody comes looking for his parents EVER. Movie makes it a point to show ring doorbell footage of the kids leaving but nobody in that neighborhood had one to see them running into that fukking house huh. This shyt was beyond :mjlol:. Gay dude saying "i think she just cut my hair" after literally WATCHING HER CUT HIS HAIR enraged me for some reason to:mjlol:

ChatGPT couldn't write something this stupid.

That 1st hour was mid. Julia is slightly different version of smart mouth, arrogant white girl from Ozark. Can't stand her. Movie got good once they focused in on Hunter Biden. He was the comic relief and made it interesting. Then the movie came together and that 2nd hr was dope. Finally became a fun, ridiculous horror movie.

Batshyt crazy. Fantastic.

Obviously it feels a bit Stephen Kingish but still has its own style, especially its sense of humor. The actors were great too. Julia Garner is always good in mid movies, but this is actually a good one.

I just heard of this movie today trying to find something to do after work. Thats probably the best way, but I guess its not for everyone. Better to be a love it or hate it type film than a mid one though.

:mjlol: The criticisms I just read in here..... I'm not gonna waste my time picking them apart. Some people just wanna be miserable lol

The movie made perfect sense and I'll leave it at that.
Yea i peeped the bullshyt and just laughed.

Anyway just watched it again, this is easily a 8 at worst. Cregger really figured out how to make a slow pacing accessible for mainstream horror. Absolutely a 10/10 classic.

Yes I agree. Length of time is a huge factor.

I have a theory and questions too.
why did Archer and Justine have those dreams? They almost seemed prophetic. I wonder if there was a higher power trying to help them find the children. The whole gun clock thing over the house especially. Also it’s interesting that Alex only needed the hair from the aunt and not the children to weaponize the children against her. Was it because she had been “feeding” off of them so long?
