Fire. 9/10....I thought it was getting a little dry towards the middle, but it sped right back up.

- I wanna know if the principal was able to make his eyes bulge like that on his own or was it make up effects :mjlol: shyt had me dying when it shows the initial glimpse of him running

- a bowl of water? :deadrose: she getting kicked out immediately

- a lot of great camera & angle decisions.....catching the principal running over Brolin's shoulder....the officer's wife running in and out of frame in the grocery store.....Brolin down in the basement

- the police aint shyt......ring and neighborhood cameras should've easily showed them coming to that general area. And Alex & the teacher's house should have been thoroughly searched off GP

- Justine seeing the parents siting like that.....not only not calling the cops, but falling asleep on a stakeout :dahell:

- all the comedy hit. The head smash scene was A1.
Cops wife could get it :takedat:

That and I was expecting a more sinister tone. This felt…dare I say…M. Night Shyamalan-ish.
I can see that in some areas but M Knight usually has terrible dialogue and acting.

There are a lot of holes in this movie a la M Knight and imo its not a movie that is as deep or great as many would like us to believe but its a solid horror flick that is worth a watch. If you catch this for free on the streams then its definitely a W.

I liked this. The only thing I didn't like was how abrupt the ending was.

Everything was resolved so the movie didn't need to be any longer I guess....but the ending credits kinda came out of left field after what I expected be, at the very least, a bit more dialogue

You must of believed too much in the hype.
I don't like movies where the only way to move the story and plot along are for the people to behave in comically stupid ways, and I don't like when directors just completely ignore the common laws of physics, science, and math to move a story or plot point along when the world of the movie is supposed to abide by those things. That stuff can happen in a movie and it's fine but it can't be a crutch that the story completely falls apart without, and in this movie if even one person behaves rationally then the entire movie goes up in smoke.

Send your child who is 12 or under to a store to buy enough soup for 19 people repeatedly and watch what happens :mjlol: . You going to have the police and/or child services knocking on your door within 7 days:mjlol:.

Show up to a police interview saying the person they want to talk to is sick and you doing the talking. You are going to instantly be prime suspect number one:mjlol:. Or they probably going to tell you that you not his lawyer and to get the fukk out the room :mjlol:.

They did search Alex's house and investigate his family. Gladys was throwing them off the scent.

Maaaaan, they did one of these

17 kids missing. 1 kid and 1 teacher are left. I don't believe they ever make contact with the kid's mom. The dad can't talk at all. THEIR kid is alive, so the whole their kid just died and they can't speak because they're traumatized wouldn't make sense.

And police does zero follow ups on the house to see all the newspaper coverings?

Foh......that whole department is a waste of tax dollars :mjlol:

The explanations don’t work though.
Alex’s house should be the biggest point of interest in the investigation.
Gladys can throw off the entire town, but can’t magically brainwash two more adults?

I’m getting tired of storytellers prioritizing the allegory over telling a cohesive story.
The concept of children collectively running off into the night at the exact same time is horrifying, but the execution here was poor.
