was gladys actively attacking thanos and the surfer in their dreams? because i dont understand if she was doing that subconsciously or intentionally, and why she would see herself as a clown

why was gladys in the forest fukking with that james dude? it kind of goes with a previous question but if youre trying to get away with this, why inform potenial victims and weapons of your existense?
To me I think that was added for just more supernatural type shyt to pad the run time, add scares, because it made no sense.

..... i didnt read through this thread yet . . .. but fresh out the theater . . . my first reaction is that this had a similar concept as...

. . . but the final 15 - 20 minutes had the room wilding out . . . . . and the way it ended was executed perfectly . . .
Agreed. It reminded me of Long Legs.

more thoughts,

zach really hammered in that marcus was gay it seemed. shopping for fruity pebbles in the store, his husband and himself about to share 6 hotdogs, the campyness that his husband showed when gladys burst into their home. kinda on the nose with that

kinda weird that gladys whether intentionally or unintentionally looks like a clown, and her last moments were pretty damn comedic with her running from the kids in the neighborhood... i mean until her gruesome demise.

gladys has to be old as shyt based on that cosumption line, so her pied piper ass has probably been making kids disappear for a long ass time. modern technology must have been kicking her ass with cameras and info being passed around in the blink of an eye. so she was probably on borrowed time one way or another.

ive seen a few people assume that alex being able to use the blood magic means that the magic is in the tree, but it makes me think that alex is the reasoning behind gladys being in town all together. through observation he replicated that spell with ease, and it makes me think her true goal was to take the kid and use him to continue helping her

During Justine's nightmare when she walks into the classroom and all the kid's heads are down, Alex looks up and has clown makeup on

The movie was just ok not bad but not as amazing as they're making it seem.

Can’t remember if I posted in here after I saw the flick. I Liked it a lot. Did yall not see barbarian? It felt very much in the same pocket and I liked that a lot
I feel like Barbarian was a little more grounded so I thought this would be something more realistic. I like supernatural horror but it felt like this just jumped out of nowhere with it.

both this and barbarian were pretty on par in terms of realism for me

both trailers did a good job of not really revealing the fukkery and played it straight
