I was working at AT&T when both came out we got the palm pre (web os7) a whole year and 1/2 after the original iphone came out

AT&T did not carry Palm devices for awhile until the Palm Pre came out. Palm Pre and the original Palms OS looked nothing alike. The Palm Pre (the web OS demostrated in the original post) came out 1 1/2 years after the original iphone

Android and IOS 7 multitasking came from WebOs.




Thinking since the iphone came out before palm pre that apple couldn't have ripped off the OS.

The Pre with WebOS was hands down my favorite phone of the smartphone era. My HTC One comes close, and it might be nostalgia, but i dont think its better than true WebOS. Palm stock just couldnt recover though...Apple and Android had all the third parties locked up already and nobody wanted to learn to code for a newer OS with such a small market share. It didnt help that Pre hardware was the equivalent of a dollar store handheld game.
