Apparently Norv Turner is on the cusp of being the next Panthers OC. I recall he left y’all abruptly after saying he was “holding back the offense,” which had some injured personnel and really not putting up any numbers ...so what are we getting into? His resume by and large is solid, but that last stint with y’all and being out the game for a bit concerns me.

Do y’all have any hard feelings toward him ? How did y’all view that situation ? Who was at fault? Were y’all happy with his time there?

Norv wasn’t the right fit for us. He had Teddy and Bradford taking 5 to 7 drops without an O line. Shows no creativity when his style of offense didnt work. He was not willing to cater the offense towards individual player strengths. He tries to force whatever personnel you have into HIS system. Maybe this year with an improved O line, we could safely run the Turner deep passing game, but Norv just didn’t have the creativity to make the offense affective in 15’ or the first half of 16’.

Now we have Pat Shurmur who still uses some of Norv’s playbook and we are doing better because Shurmur schemes our playbook based off of personnel.

You guys have Cam so that could alleviate whatever trouble we had trying to implement Norv’s playbook. It might not be a problem because everything is a little easier Cam. He isn’t Teddy or Bradford

But Norv is ancient. The wave in the NFL seems to be to find the younger creative offensive minds, not the Dinosaurs.

I too sat stunned, dejected thinking about the shyt I was going to hear at work Monday Minnesota the constantly choking Vikings gave up a 17 point lead and how they would never be shyt you know our history of failure and I looked at the play and thought to myself "Why am I even looking this is the Minnesota Vikings they not going todo shyt"

Then something magical happened.....
