Except common didn't actually say it was about Drake until after Drake caught feelings, Common then said "if you think it's about you than yeah it's about you". All he said on the song was "you soft muthafukka" and Drake responded. If Drake didn't catch feelings it wouldn't have been an issue.

That's like hearing Kurupt say "bytch you more of a bytch than a bytch" and you turn around and say "why you calling me a bytch"

yea Drake could have no said nothing and just released Stay Schemin and let Common bite the bait instead.

If you think you're lonely now, ohhh girl...
In the words of Patton, "All glory is fleeting." Drake's run will end some day. It may be 10 years from now, or tomorrow. Most artists simply reach a place where no one wants to hear from them anymore (Even the infinitely talented endure this. For example, how many people do you know frothing at the mouth for a new Prince album), with few exceptions.

I seriously doubt with his current subject matter that it will even be 10 years before Drake reaches that point. Who's going to be interested in hearing a 36-37 year old Drake emoting lovelorn rhetoric, mafioso canards, who's simultaneously a pimp, but romantically misunderstood and really looking for the one; whilst trying to navigate the trappings of fame? :heh:.

His best bet is getting to like 6% body fat and trying to transition into acting and other ventures. He can try to take the LL super sex symbol route like someone mentioned, but that isn't even guaranteed (e.g., Nelly). Drake's going to have problems as he ages -- a big part of his appeal and image is that he's a young dude doing "this" or "that." What happens when he's no longer a young dude?

I don't think drake will be a big actor. For some reason I think that's why he tranistitoned to rap. Unless Hollywood has acchange of mind. I don't think theyfukkng with him as he must of already tried.

I think you impressed a lot of people when you went after Common. A lot of rap fans didn’t think you could get him.
There is a bunch of Common diehards who would never let you utter the words “Drake got” anything in front of them. I felt really hurt man. I felt like some injustice was done to me in a sense of we’re talking about Common, we’re talking a guy whose music I enjoy, a guy who I had never met, a guy who I never conversed with at that point. We’re talking about the guy outside the hearing impaired girl’s window with the sign cards with the love songs and he’s coming at me for being soft? That hurt me. I told him that. I’m like, “Man, you’re supposed to embrace what I’m doing. I’m balancing real rap with girl records with club records. I’m just trying to give people music to live with and for you, of all people, to attack me?” If Jeezy came at me and said I was soft, I would be like, “Yeah, I guess, probably.” It was just crazy for it to be him. Even when we linked up, it was like, “What are you doing? Why?” It was like, “I never met you? What happened?” I do know that when we finally connected in person it was like, “Yeah, let’s just dead it.” Which made me kind of feel like it was an album week thing, which it was, by the way. I don’t know if anyone remembers that—his album was coming out that week.

Yeah...common was lame for that.
Yeah i was very disappointed in Common for what he did.....especially since its been pretty obvious it was a publicity stunt.......

let's make a poll... oh right, he lost agaisnt every single artist in every single poll of every single hip hop forum because everybody knows that drake is just an average rapper.
bveing popular doesn't mean being good.
He lost a poll made by virgins and :flabbynsick: nikkas that are still listening to :krs: in 2013.

In real life, Drizzy Hendrix is winning and is above every other rapper from this gen.

People on hip hop forums are either virgins or really old? You know where you posted this right?! Which one are you?

No truth to common dropping sublims over Serena. Whoever told you that was lying. The shyt started when Drake to offence to Commons comments on Sweet which realistically was some regular "fukk y'all other rappers" type shyt talking.

if someone told you ten years ago that Jay-z's producer and the lil nikka from hot boys would be hotter than 50 Cent in 2013 yall wouldn't believe them.

Hard to predict these things. :ld:All rappers think they will be around forever
