If Miami is insistent on not giving him the extension, but other teams are willing to do, then it does essentially equal each other.
The longer he waits, the less likely that extension comes to fruition if his performance falls off.

But again with this new report what has changed from the first?
Seems more to do with the media(Shams) attempting to double down after Jimmy agent tried to hoe him
What's the issue? As long as Miami isn't offering Jimmy that extension, it's going to be a big story and lingering over the NBA season.
