That's how it looks indeed.

When Brunson missed that one lay-up at the end of G1 in Boston I thought the series was over, because that's the type of "we could've stole the game but didn't" situation that you rarely come back from. But they prevailed in a big way. And did it again in G2.

Now it seems like we've used all of that mojo and are on the other side of collapses and balls bouncing the wrong way. G1 was a soul-crushing defeat. G2 serves as confirmation that it wasn't a fluke or just a case of bad luck. The only hope now is that a change of scenery shifts the energy of this series. We have been better on the road than at home these playoffs, so who knows. But it's looking more and more unlikely that we can bounce back. If we don't win G3 one way or another I fear a massive blowout that would all but end our season.

If we got blown out I’d agree. But they’re just being outplayed. Every punch we threw, the pacers had a counter for already prepared.

To do what? What’s he going to bring next year that he hasn’t brought tot he team since February when all these issues were prevalent. Coaches with rings have been fired.

Those coaches get fired after its clear the team has plateaued

ECF this year

2nd round Game 7 the year prior with a million injuries

finally getting out the 1st round for the first time in over a decade the year prior to that

The bottom line is there's been annual progress the last 3 years, regardless of what you think of him as a coach, that's what decision makers look at.

The idea of the Thibs getting fired after the franchise's most successful season in 25 years is laughable

At the very least he will get next year
No excuses he is getting outmatched by the same coach 2 seasons in a row this time with a healthy roster with more fire power (2 all NBA players) he has failed to implement a varied offense only has done so in other series when guys get in foul trouble, proving that he has to be forced to make the right moves, the one positive of losing its him getting the :camby: outta here.

I want to see another coach construct an offense for this team. Thibs has refused to. If this was like football and we could bring in an OC I’d gladly keep Thibs. Genuinely love and appreciate him for taking us out the dark ages. But it’s been 3 straight series of PAINFUL offense.
We’re not losing because of offense tho.

The defense is the much bigger problem. We need to get stops—a track meet with the Pacers is in their favor.

The lights got too bright for them. All these celebs, the rabid fanbase outside. The media coverage. Not enough dogs on this team.
Give respect to the Pacers it’s clear the fanbase thought beating them was a foregone conclusion again.

They’re every bit as good as us and in fact better constructed.

:unimpressed: for arguments sake all that can be true, he'll still be on the sidelines come October

We put a team together that was supposed to devastate offensively to mitigate the issues on defense. We don’t do that. We run the same offense as last season. It sucks. We work too fukking hard to the talent we have.

This shyt is over.

Can't have 2 defensive sieves in the starting line up together. Brunson and Kat together just doesn't work.

Josh Hart is useless

Mikal is wildly inconsistent, even within the same game from half to half.

OG is consistently missing open 3s and every time he dribbles it's a turnover.

Thibs is getting outcoached something serious and we've been dog shyt at home this post season.

Sucks it ending like this but it stings less when you accept the inevitably of it all.

OKC vs Indy finals :scust: 🤮

We'll see the exit interviews one player already threw the coach under the bus, if 1 or 2 join the bandwagon :mjlit: Thibs and Doc Rivers been successfully milking that 08 championship for too long, time to :camby:
