Brunson's 4th in PPG and 6th in APG in the postseason so far (granted, the Lakers vs Minne isn't over yet, so that could shift slightly). He's scoring more than Cade, assisting the same amount, and turning the ball over less. If you think Jalen Brunson is the problem, I'm not sure what to tell you, but I disagree.
KAT's best minutes were probably when he paired with Mitch. Unfortunately, that was maybe five minutes long, and then Thibs never went back to it. Bridges was good for three-quarters but missed a bunch of open looks in crunch time. OG went from attacking Cade's defense in game one, to completely passive in game two. I do not believe that Brunson passing more was the magic bullet to solve that shyt.
Could the offense be designed to make life easier for Brunson and everyone else? Sure. But the best solution is better spacing.
Brunson/KAT pick and rolls should be run more; KAT should get opportunities to post up while Josh Hart sits out, so that he's not facing a PF/C double-team since bigs don't bother to guard Hart outside of the paint. As a matter of fact, Jalen Duren was so far off Hart in game one that he picked up two three-second violations. Wing stop's gotta be better. Plus, the bench can't be outscored 35-8.
