for argument sake let's say KD DID go to the Wizards as was speculated about. That would have made the Wizards contenders for sure. They would still need a couple bodies on that bench but they'd have Wall, Beal and KD in the starting five. That matches up very well with Cleveland.

A healthy Spurs team matches up well with GSW.

So if KD had come east the playoffs would have been a lot better provided people stay healthy.

Cs had their run from 84-87(Pistons had them in 87 before the Bird steal) and Lakers had theirs from 85-89(Mavs had them in 88 but Derek Harper ran the clock out)

Pistons were best team in the league in 87 and 88

How so? No disrespect, but these playoffs have been horrendous. How would KD in the East make this one of the greatest playoffs? At best that would've provided 1 competitive series (presumingly the ECF between the Cavs and whoever KD was on).

Up until a few years ago there were multiple series actually worth watching. There were still only 2-3 legitimate contenders, but at least the middle of the pack teams would battle it out, this season every series has been trash so far (minus Wizards/Hawks).
