I was pretty fortunate as a child. We would usually get a game every few months. Christmas would be extra nice because my brothers and I would hit up the parents and other family members for different games that we wanted. Once we got older and started getting an allowance we would pool our money together to get what we wanted. I still remember dropping all that money to the UPS man when he showed up with a new game or system. Cash on delivery was the shyt. We could get whatever we wanted without having to go through our parents.:pachaha:

Growing up I had whatever game I wanted and rented the ones that I wanted too. Now I'm an adult and can't afford a next gen system :mjcry:

My routine was pretty much wait till Christmas to get some games. Usually would get about 4 brand new titles, play them and trade them in for used games. Whatever money I would accumulate through out the year would help cover anything additional. So overall I would probably have played about 6 new games in a year. If I was lucky a friend in school would let me hold a game or we could trade.

Now as an adult I look at my gamefly account and realize I've played more games in the past 5 years than I did my entire childhood.

I ain't gon lie I pretty much got everything I wanted. My mom spoiled me. But to this day I feel like byttch for how I made my mom feel on the Xmas in 93'. I wanted just two games for Xmas Jurassic Park & Royal Rumble on Genesis. Xmas come I rush to open my presents. I kno it's 2 games. I open it and it's Jurassic Park & Mortal Kombat :wtf: I was pissed. I :mjcry: like a bytch. I made my mom feel so bad. It wasn't like I did not love MK. I loved it in the Arcade. I played the SNES version and it was better than Sega from wat I heard (got snes next year). More voices & crisper 16 bit graphic power. I liked the snes version, but it had no blood just like I thought Sega too. I go back to school after Xmas vacation and ABACABB was spread around like a 2$ hoe. I didn't believe it :stopitslime::childplease:, but I wrote it down took it home. Tried it. I tell u when that sh1t worked my face was really like:ooh:. I played that game from 4pm to bedtime :lawd: MK turned out to my fav game for a long time. To this day I feel bad about wat I did to moms that day :to:

in the beginning i had a decent amount of games. id get like 2 to 3 on my birthday. maybe another 1 or 2 on christmas. that whittled down as i got older. but my grandfather would buy me a game a month if my grades were good. sometimes if he was feeling lazy he'd give me a 100 instead as an early birthday gift.

For Christmas and tax returns. MAYBE my birthday I would get a game or two. I usually got an allowance though so I had to stack that over months to get games :bryan:

My pops got a Sega Genesis when I was a basically still a baby, a PS1 for me and my brother for Christmas, and a Nintendo DS for me and my brother for one Christmas, after that he was like y'all on your own :smugfavre:. I got a hand-me-down PS2 from my Aunt once too. I stayed in the bargain bins looking for cheap games at our BX :bryan:

The reason I cherished my 360 so much is because it was the first game system I bought with my own money when I was like 15. Had to stack for months and trade in a lot of shyt :mjcry:. I bought it with Lost Planet :mjcry:
