Wesley Snipes doesn’t get enough credit for saving Marvel.

Without Blade there would of been no Spiderman, no Ironman, no Avengers, no Black Panther. Marvel were on the verge of bankruptcy until Snipes came in and gave them a hit movie to build from. It’s mighty funny how quick they were to ditch him as soon as they started becoming successful. :mjpls:

Blade doesn't get the credit it deserves but New Line Cinema made Blade only because before that, Marvel off loaded all of the film rights to their properties. NLC made the movie and all of the money off of it and has had a very tenuous relationship with Marvel (now even more so since Marvel got acquired by Disney).

Marvel didnt get in to the movie game (as in creating their own studio and partnering up with Paramount, before Disney bought Marvel) until 2008 with Iron Man.

What happened to snipes why don’t I see him in movies anymore?

After his prison term, it was just hard for him to land roles. Got a good shot on a spy drama on NBC, The Player that got axed....

Been mostly doing DVD movies, but like all great actors, they take on smaller parts after their prime run...

He's still in good enough shape to play Blade....
