Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
Oh you mean Riverdale? Relaxing area to live, but ain't much happening here. I do like being close to the HH bridge for going back forth in the city.

Is the part by the bridge still considered Riverdale? I figured Riverdale is more up at the boarder of Yonkers?

The map says Spuyton Devil but I’m guessing that’s a subset area of the bigger Riverdale but I love that area and views of the Hudson and Palisades, NJ and all the trees.

Ah ok, yeah I just consider everything west of the the Hudson Riverdale at that point. Fieldston is really nice too. No way in hell you'd think you are still in the Bronx.

That’s the beauty of it. New York does a really bad job at advertising all its areas. People really think every block in all 5 boroughs is just tenement after tenement lol

The term "South Bronx" is used way too broadly in my opinion. University Heights shouldn't be lumped in with Mott Haven and Longwood. And I don't think Castle Hill and Soundview are the South Bronx either.

I think of the West Bronx as being everything from Sedgwick to Webster, and the South Bronx being everything below 170th st but more so along the 2 and 6 trains
The South Bronx term popped up after the creation of the Cross Bronx Expressway.

University Heights and Fordham isn’t South Bronx and I’ve never heard to it referred as that but Castle Hill and Soundview are.

West Bronx is just West Side of the Bronx. It can be everything from Highbridge to Kingsbridge Heights.

It’s all the same to me honestly. i Guess the south Bronx has more Mexicans than West Bronx and the west Bronx has more Africans.

West Bronx seems full blown out Dominican. The south Bronx still feels like PR people still run the area by total numbers.
The West Bronx borders Washington Heights and Inwood in certain areas hence large Dominican populations. Highbridge is an interesting neighborhood it’s full of Africans, Dominicans, and AA’s and lots of steep hills.

The Puerto Rican thing depends by South Bronx neighborhood. The East South Bronx neighborhoods like Castle Hill (lots of Guyanese there too), Soundview, West Farms, Hunts Point, Parkchester they’re there in large numbers.

That's what I thought. Although I personally think of Soundview and Castle Hill as being the Southeast Bronx
