shiit blew me away. i was young and didnt really get to experience The Chronic like some people, so it was definitley a big moment in my life for music. i wish those still happened as frequently as they did back then

the way the piano rift came in,
snoop on the chorus,
then the video dropped,
made my want to get a caddy with some hydraulics in them.

It was just an all around good music, that had a good vibe to it.
The youngins and OG's bumped it heavy.

This came out after a time when NY was making nothing but jiggy feel good party music,
but it was not a party if the west coast was not in it.
and Dre and Snoop blessed us with this.

Like for example... I hate the Beatles. But that doesn't mean I go around talking about how sgt pepper isn't a classic. It is a classic...its just not my cup of tea

My question is how is it a classic? People argue all the time over whether blueprint is a classic, but most say it is....that's how I am with 2001...the classic tag is subjective and I got a lot of daps for my post, so I'm not the only one who feels that way about that album...no hate for Dre, just a disappointing album

Not overhyped, but overrated...and I agree with you that it does have classic songs on it

Song was disappointing because it had "featuring Snoop Dogg" but he only dropped the hook (beat was fire though). I was fiending for as many Snoop verses on Dre production as I could get. Thank God they blessed us with The Next Episode.

I disagree on every part of your post...it is mediocre, the beats aren't that great (4 songs are nice, the rest is trash), the features are a joke and it has aged horribly....this is my opinion and I really can't see what is so great about this album

I think the hype around still Dre and eminem gave this album a major push...more than it deserved. Remember eminem had just came and everyone was super hyped ....this album was just not jamming to me at all
