I was born a American citizen in the caribbean. I never had problems with African Americans and befriended with them when I moved abroad. Outside of some cultural differences, we were the same

You will hear people in the islands talk about the "Yankee dem"
"Don't go America and tun into a Yankee ya kno" and all of that but it's usually from people who never left their island, career criminals, people who ran from America or could survive there. Some are biasing their views off of tv or someone else. On the flipside,
I have always corrected any "AA" on misconceptions they may have on caribbean people and I call caribbean people out of their ignorance about American from what I know.

I think people need to understand that most immigrants that come to this country LEGALLY are well to do in their home country. Most of these cats have that superior attitude b/c they were upper-class back home. They have resources and they pool them within their own community when they get here.

I have to agree to a degree. AA's like to clown and they tend to clown other's cultures on white based stereotypes. Not really. They just in the middle. Most of the well to do will stay in their country, send their kids to the best schools and run their country. Now the poorest who win the VISA lottery aren't the best either but they come with a purpose. Most ppl in Black areas outside of America lack resources and opportunity and there is expectation as well for you to do well in America. You simply can't compare it to the average.
