The D (where it's so cold)
No he didn't start having Kobe's back, those seeds were sown almost from the very beginning. They had totally different personalities and never fukked with one another for that very reason.

Wow, okay you and Hawk seemed to be more in tune with the early years, I atleast thought from the articles I read during the time that they atleast had made attempts to be cool. I knew the Showboat and baby sitter comments from Shaq but as bad as they are to read hearing them made it seem like it was just the good humored Shaq making light of the situation. This is actually pretty interesting that they hated each other from the start.

I read articles on the shyt, it was just a matter of how bad it would get. Each side had their allies, if Kobe shot too much Shaq would stop gettin boards and playin defense, if they froze Kobe out he'd just bullshyt around on purpose. When they co-existed and even stood up for one another the team was great but once their bad sides came out shyt would get fukked up. Real shyt that era of the Lakers was a fukkin soap opera full of egos from the top down, and the clash of Kobe and Shaq's egos/personalities set it off.

Yup, it was literally two alpha males trying to co-exist.

Shaq needed to always be the center of attention, never wanted anybody else in his spotlight, and wanted everybody to follow him. Kobe wasn't going for that and was the first person to hit Shaq with the :childplease: Kobe simply wouldn't back down.

Kobe treated the game like a straight up job. He wasn't for playing around, socializing, or any of that other shyt. He also finds it really hard to respect anyone that he feels isn't working as hard as he is. Shaq has a long history of being a bit lazy and that shyt never sat right with Kobe. Shaq had most of the veteran locker room on his side with that shyt because Kobe was so standoffish for the most part.

Considering how fukked up shyt was it's amazing how dominant they were. Can you imagine if they had actually gotten along :ahh:

shyt woulda been amazing, as a kid I always wished I could put Kobe and AI into one player cuz they were my two favorites. I think if he was somewhat more AIish maybe they could of gotten along better, them nikkaz was just too different. But real shyt, Kobe/Shaq is the epitome of first impressions meaning everything. Kobe's standoffishness, arrogance, and company man obsession with being the best ain't rock with Shaq and Shaq's lazy, undisciplined, spotlight obsession ain't rock with Kobe. Sometimes I wonder if Doc shoulda tried to get Riles instead of fukkin with Phil. As great as Phil was, his arrival ultimately complicated things more in the end. Had we of not pushed Logo out and got Riles shyt would of worked out for the better.

Funny how things work out, those two could of had a celtics type run but too many egos fukked it up.

It wouldn't have worked long term with Riles either because Pat Riley is just like Kobe in terms of work ethic. Remember a big reason why shyt didn't work out in Miami was because Pat Riley worked them dudes hard and Shaq hated that shyt.

His skills best suit the #2. He doesn't have the passing or vision to see a true PG.
Do you really think he thinks like that? Or someone with his way of thinking will be just happy to be Durants sidekick? Because we all know one person will get the credit and if they win Durant will be looked at as "The Man"

Russ is the heart and soul of that team.

Actually I think Harden was the heart and soul....Russ is definitely the killer on the team though.

Durant is the ultra gifted nikka that doesn't seem to realize how good he actually is :pachaha:

I swear this shyt is the cruelest fukking trap in sports. They hammer into these kids to play the game "The right way" for years, praise them for it their first few years in the league, and then begin to shyt on them for not doing the exact opposite if they don't win a title in their first 4 seasons. :shaq2:

Russy don't care about anything but winning
For now but for some reason the media seems to make him the problem Durant is never to blame for anything. Matter of fact OKC was hiding Durant on Mario Clamers and lit him up for 25 points Durant never gets blame. Durant lost and had a bad 4th quarters last playoffs but still no blame he evern had people excusing him saying he was tired...:stopitslime:

That WAS the case, but after Westbrook got hurt a lot of people opened their fukking eyes to what was up. They need and compliment each other a lot better than a lot of dumb motherfukkers seemed to realize.
