OKC is 23rd in 3 point shooting percentage and 28th in assists, they don't have the personal nor the offense to be hitting them at a competitive level. PG and Melo being relegated to 3 point shooters is not helping the thunder in any way. Im glad you brought that up though cuz russy could care less if they hit them at a high percentage all he cares is that they put the shot up and give him his assist opportunities he's always hunting for.

That being said, I've rather have Durant win an MVP five times before having to see Westbrook or Harden win an MVP. At least Durant plays the right way, he just gamed the playoffs so that winning a ring wasn't going to be challenging anymore.

It's way easier to get 10 rebounds when the opposition misses lots of shots. Therefore, Westbrook tends to get 10 rebounds when the other team's offense does poorly.

It's way easier to get 10 assists when your teammates have hot shooting nights. Therefore, Westbrook tends to get 10 assists when his teammates are hot.


Westbrook chases stats every damn night. But even when you're chasing stats harder than anyone in history, it doesn't mean you'll get there every night. You'll only get there if the opposition misses enough shots and your teammates make enough shots. Both of those things happen in wins a lot more than they happen in losses. Therefore, Westbrook has a much easier time getting his triple-doubles in wins. But chasing a triple-double in no way "causes" the win, because he was chasing just as hard in the losses too.

Even with all the shade I throw on him, I don't actually think that Westbrook is the most overrated PG in history.

If you're sticking with superstars, that would be either Stockton or Rose, for pretty much opposite reasons. Next tier down, I always thought Stevie Franchise and Starbury were way overhyped - they had the talent but were never able to really put it together.
