By the time Griselda started making some noise it was mid to late 2010s. Marci, KA, Action Bronson (people don't like to admit this but Bronson was very influential on the whole scene and was doing the wrestling shyt and drumless beats way before Westside Gunn) all were putting out significant work. Not to mention Alchemist's whole role in that scene. I feel like even something like Prodigy's Albert Einstein was a major touchpoint on what underground hip hop would become.

If none of that happened Gunn would probably still be making offbrand Dipset shyt.
