Nah

This the one.

Rex Ryan was nice and having Roc on a track stamped them to people that need to see a co-sign, but they was already bubblin

The Booth was on 69, Young MA, and A Boogie with the Hoodie heavy around this time lol.

Nobody said they wasn’t bubblin. But Roc put an OFFICIAL stamp on them nikkas and that’s undeniable. And year by year they try to minimize his importance and/or take credit for shyt HE started or made popular in the first place. They stay screaming at the clouds because they insecure.

Breh I love Roc but he was struggling to get his shyt poppin around that same time.

He’s still trying to collect his past due props while these nikka done went through their whole career arc.

They’ve always been secretly backed by Jay, that’s the real hidden hand.

Bro no. Roc already dropped a classic album by the time these nikkas was getting ANY traction. We not finna do this I can even bring up the old threads. @Piff Perkins @TheDarceKnight @Zero can all confirm this.

Roc Marci. If it wasn’t for Rex Ryan. We know the rest.

They've always given Roc his credit from the Combat Jack interview on. Gunn said he's the godfather.

They always credit Rae & Ghost. They visited Prodigy in the hospital. Gunn has an MF DOOM chain. If there's one thing Griselda does it's pay respect to legends.

The truth is Griselda were later comers to the whole underground movement that was bubbling in the late 2000s/early 2010s. Sean P was a major factor that people seem to now overlook. By the time Griselda started making some noise it was mid to late 2010s. Marci, KA, Action Bronson (people don't like to admit this but Bronson was very influential on the whole scene and was doing the wrestling shyt and drumless beats way before Westside Gunn) all were putting out significant work. Not to mention Alchemist's whole role in that scene. I feel like even something like Prodigy's Albert Einstein was a major touchpoint on what underground hip hop would become.

If none of that happened Gunn would probably still be making offbrand Dipset shyt.

Probably 2012-13 I remember Bronson, Mayhem Lauren and few others on the starting to really move the movement. Alchemist played a big role. Prodigy reshaped his sound.

If we're keeping it a buck WSG and them was late to the party. They rode a wave that already had momentum.

5:09 "I'll always salute Roc Marci."

He even threw Action in there too. This was from 2025.

Y'all make up narratives then refuse to budge when evidence is right in front of you. Conway just dropped a single with Roc months ago but they're minimizing him. Make it make sense.
