@Monoblock im surprised you think this is more all over the place than 6. This has less guest spots and less variety in production style (a good thing IMO).
I love 6. I don’t mean it like that. But half of this is basically more traditional boom bap, and what doesn’t have harder drums is some of his best “light drums production” this side of Flygod.
Connie’s Son, Lucha Bros, and Love U are all dope joints with light drums. Even Whoopy and Fcknxtwk are pretty solid.
Like I said. I love 6 but it definitely felt more like what back in the day would’ve been considered a ‘mixtape’. 7 sounds more cohesive to me, even if the highs don’t reach as high as they did on 6.
