Agree to disagree. I do think the latter half of the album is better than the first. I really wish he rapped on some of these beats though (7-16 is really fukking good)

I still think Plugs I Met is the best Griselda drop of 2019. I’m surprised anyone would t have that as #1 unless they just think it was too short? But this Hermès 7 this is very dope. I definitely like this more than Conway’s 2 drops this year.
The #2 spot IMO is between this and Flygod’s an Awesome God. I need to give this a breather and then relisten to that one.

@Monoblock im surprised you think this is more all over the place than 6. This has less guest spots and less variety in production style (a good thing IMO).
I love 6. I don’t mean it like that. But half of this is basically more traditional boom bap, and what doesn’t have harder drums is some of his best “light drums production” this side of Flygod.
Connie’s Son, Lucha Bros, and Love U are all dope joints with light drums. Even Whoopy and Fcknxtwk are pretty solid.
Like I said. I love 6 but it definitely felt more like what back in the day would’ve been considered a ‘mixtape’. 7 sounds more cohesive to me, even if the highs don’t reach as high as they did on 6.

This feels like he picked the best beats to match the overall vibe, rather than fukking with big name producers like Madlib and Al and molding the album out of what he got.
