Roc Marciano raps with no flow he raps over rhythmless drumless soul samples the definition of NyQuil flow.

East at least raps with aggression and has way more diverse music.

I'm from NY from the Bronx, I go to college in Buffalo I have never ever heard these nikkas music being bumped in their own city or in NYC let alone by young nikkas.

You go to college in Buffalo? Sorry to hear that lol. As far as I know, there isn't really anything going on out there.

But yeah, I've heard a few (less than 5 total) kids bumping them out in the open. I think they could get more traction with a bigger backing.

How does that make you feel?

Honestly I don't believe you. :manny:

But if you say so that's good for them. The Roc Nation move is cool for them.

Y'all just have to realize that they are a cover group, a re-hash of Mobb/Wu/BCC sound, in the same boat as Ka, Roc Marciano, Meyhem Lauren. Westside Gunn sounds just like Ghostface Killah. They are not innovative it's the same drug/gun and fashion bars over slowed soul samples and muffled drums.

It's a unique sound but y'all cats need to stop with the they bringing NY back. Because these dudes don't embody NYC and they're not better than the new dudes coming out NY.

They have a distinct sound compared to other stuff out now, I don't give a shyt about all the other stuff you're talking about. Personally I don't believe in all that "This is NYC, but this isn't" talk. The idea that grimy boom bap is the only way to really rep NYC is laughable imo.

And if you're college aged then you can't really tell me anything about what sounds like what. Buckshot was putting his own spin on Rakim at times. Nas took some flows directly from Tragedy. Ghostface copied a lot of his image from Pretty Tone Capone. Snoop got some his flavor from Mr 3-2. No one is completely original. I can hear the Ghost & Rae influence with Gunn but I don't think it's as ridiculous as it was with Bronson.

Stupid ass statements like this are always funny :laff: if making good lyrical based tracks with nice production means you "have to be white", I'm embarrassed on what your view of music for black listeners should be

Kendrick is dope, and more than anything hes original and creative. these guys arent. u cant convince me otherwise.

I never said they was wack. Yall nikkas too simple to understand a nuanced opinion.

I can't remember who, but someone on the Coli said that GFXR are pretty much the antithesis of everything that's popping right now. That's the WHOLE appeal. So it's pointless to compare them with all the youngins out. You're a smart poster, so I imagine you already know this and now you're just being stubborn because you don't fukk with them. :jbhmm:

You be on campus in Buffalo in your dorm...and in your building at home.
You wouldn't hear anything nikkas bump.
