None of them Westside Gunn albums are special though. He talks like he's dropping GOAT level albums but the majority of his shyt is basically the underground version of fast food trap music. It's nice background music but you can tell he recorded them quickly.

Gunn is like the definition if fake it til you make it. He just screams that his music is high art and everything he drops is AOTY but no one is listening to that weedplate he dropped this year. Even within his own underground space, he's nowhere near the level of dudes like Marci, Hommy and KA in terms of artistry.

Fair but Dre hasn't been musically relevant since I was in 8th grade back in 2000. Westside Gunn is not on Dre's level but has redefined the independent artist lane for hip hop after taking the torch from Roc Marciano and for that I give him a HELL of a lot a credit. Dude runs his mouth like crazy on IG which I why I stopped following him

His work with Mary ,eve, 50, gunit,obie trice, em were all post 2000. I liked Compton. It was different. Didn't sound "west coast" which is why people may not have liked it . They figured he named it after the movie so it's gonna be gangsta rap but nope lol
