There were Outlawz named after Mussolini and Idi Amin, nicknames after Escobar and Noriega were never frowned at, it goes on and on. Gunn is a bit more in your face style with the covers and the titles, but other than that, what's the difference exactly?
To be fair, none of those guys compare to Hitler, even if they were other notorious mass murderers. Hitler is like the #1 household name for most evil human beings of all time, and I think the additional aspect of pushing a white supremacist within hip-hop culture is what annoys so many people.

I agree with @8.TRES that it's on some trying to be edgy shyt. And I think West is actually an underrated artist, even though I'm tired of him. But I don't think it's nearly as artistic or creative as he thinks it is.

A nikka who can't rap making a double album is fukking hilarious to me. The audacity of it. :pachaha:
I can't believe it's a double album either. I can handle him rapping solo for about 20 mins before I start getting worn out. The only full length projects of his that I really enjoy are Flyod and Supreme Blientele, and even those I have to be in a real specific mood to listen to. I like that Flygod Is Good All The Time 15 minute EP.

Trying to get through a WSG double album might be difficult without a lot of guests and fire production.

True, but other rappers actually took it as nicknames or even rap names. That's pretty much the same as identifying oneself with it. If that only becomes a problem with Hitler and every other fascist dictator or mass murderer gets a pass by default, I'm calling selective outrage.

And I don't think it's creative or artistic either btw, all his antics to sell his shyt outside the booth are at best entertaining to me.

I mean I guess I get what you're saying.

But none of those rappers used that imagery as album covers, and the Outlawz were around in the 90's. Times were way different back then. I think it's way less likely that a crew of rappers would adopt those kind of names in modern times.

It's also hard to be outraged over some shyt that never blew up and is also so far in the past. If we're keeping it real, basically no one can recognize any of the Outlawz by their voices. I like a lot of Pac songs that they're on, and I couldn't identify any of those cats voices, and I definitely wouldn't know their faces if I saw them. They never got big enough for anyone to care.

Westside Gunn is way more popular and has way more eyes on him and what he's doing. Most people that listening to Outlawz only did when listening to Pac songs.
