In some ways this is what we have now. People don’t realize how much each of us in the United States have compared to the rest of the world. We’re talking our basic needs that we’ve taken for granted are insanely cheap for us compared to every single other country.anyone who lives in a major city knows it was never that simple, cause they have been building new units non stop for years and rents have only been going up. increasing supply means little when you have a glut of institutional and foreign investors buying everything new up and rent seeking. it's just a buzz term to justify local development incentives like giving municipal owned land away for penny on the dollar or tax breaks
the global elite
the entire globe is about to look like nigeria or some other country with wild income inequality. 99% of the people broke as shyt but it not mattering because they don't have any wealth/assets anyway and the 1% trading all the assets between each other.
It’s why we are difficult to replace as trade partners because we buy a ton of imports as Americans have so much money to spend compared to everywhere else. If you’re one of the 5% of the world born in America, you’re extremely “wealthy” compared to most people.
However, now the genuinely rich people are about to do the same to the population here in the states. Drive up the cost for basic shyt to the point people in this country have to pay “nice-to-have” prices for shyt that used to be day-to-day.
Like Richard Feynman said, Mathematically in a collection of people there’s a top and bottom. You can have a class full of geniuses but there’ll still be a top 10% and bottom 10%. Same thing applies to money in the States. The problem is the floor keeps rising and it takes more money to be ordinary. We’re richer than other countries so our ordinary is higher but it doesn’t stop there. This keeps up and that ordinary price will fly past what most of us here can pay.
We’re already paying crazy prices for some things, but it will keep getting worse because leadership is horrible and they keep letting people get away with things. They keep convincing the idiotic general public to go after the wrong people. That’s how people avoid accountability.
This keeps up and most people in America will know what the rest of the world feels like.
