Great finale for Apocalypse Hotel. Prob between this and Apothecary Diaries for my AOTS.

I am gonna miss this show. The comedy and how unpredictable the storytelling is great. There are many ways it could have gone the route of humanity is actually gone. Though I do like it follows up where the last episode ended. Though I love it leaves a more optimistic and happy ending to it.

I got to say with Tomari showing up you are left wondering if she is human. Yachiyo feels much the same even though she is human. Actually, this episode really emphasized how much more human she has been becoming throughout the season. I love her conversation and hug with Ponko because it emphasizes that she cares for her guests. Whether they are human or not. Yes, her goal of waiting for humanity's return did not go the way she wanted, but rather Earth has turned to a hotel for all species.

One bittersweet is that the earth is safe now, but not safe for humans. It was all thanks to that alien from episode 1. Makes you wonder if they were the cause of everything that happened that caused humans to leave. Though why did she pass out once she got into the hotel? I think people speculated it could be the Tanukis. Or could the hotel not be purified like the outside? Regardless though humans can still visit earth. Which I think for Yachiyo that is huge.

Also, Yachiyo had me dying in the final portion of the episode. :deadrose:

Nice ending for Apocalypse Hotel.

Wouldn't mind a Season 2.
Honestly might be better as a one season done. So much creativity in both writing and comedy that would be hard to match. Also, hard to imagine where they could go.

Really hoping CyGames Pictures adapts "The Summer Hikaru Died" as well as they did with this one.

Damn near every high profile anime series in the last couple years is getting a sequel season in Summer 25.

Having been caught up with the manga and S2 starting next month going to start this season, starting Grand Blue S1. Grand Blue manga is a masterpeice in both as a gag comedy & coming of age story. The animation actually is pretty solid based on the episode. Though I do see the issues of how the comedy is adapted. It doesn't have the same impact as how the manga executes the comedy with its great art and paneling.

The Shiunji Family Children Kinda reminds me of the vibe from The Quintessential Quintuplets and if it wasn't from the author of Rent-A-Girlfriend a series that goes absolutely nowhere I'd have higher hopes for it.

Is it really incest? I mean I certainly wouldn't pick someone I was raised as my sister to be in a relationship even if I did find out later we were both adopted but these Japanese can't help themselves with these non-blood related sibling stories. There's too many fish in the sea to be trying to get with your adopted sisters.
