I wear raw denim, which is the highest quality jeans there are. One brand I rock with is Tellason, whose jeans straddle the line between expensive and modestly priced. They have different styles - skinny, straight fit, and baggy.

They fall between $200-$250, on average. More limited releases will run you higher.
