Intensity, especially in promos. Back in the 80s and early 90s, when wrestlers stared into the camera and told you they were gonna fukk you up, they looked like they meant it. Legit mark-out moments actually happened back then.

Today, poorly written comedy is incorporated into almost every segment. It is impossible to take anyone seriously. Everyone always knew it wasn't a sport, but today they don't even try to pretend it's serious.

This of course is all related to kayfabe being gone and the Internet exposing everything that goes on behind the scenes. It had to happen, and of course it gives us a lot more to talk about, but the end result of all of us being in on the joke is that none of us get lost in the moment, even for a second.

real talk, everyone wants to be a stand up comic.

theres only one the rock, and rock could do that because his a man mountain who most people couldnt go toe to toe with.

its like they all trying to insert catch phrases and do a stand up routine, when the first goal is to install fear in your opponents heart :bryan:

Theres somthing about it how comes off on tv then and now. On raw and nitro its like the crowd was always loud as fukk you could barely hear the commentators.
The raw themesong was literally raw wit that guitar riff. And how it would play in the background during segments.
Last monday for example....samoa joe debuts...dead crowd
..silent monotone commentary....just comes off as boring and unimportant. Weird

And yeah every promo has to be a fukkkn knock knock joke.
That time with roman reigns and the sufferin succotash...:mjlol::snoop:

Makes the titles worthless. I agree entirely on ruining gimmick matches too. The last great hell in a cell match was 2012 Undertaker vs triple h. They didn't shoehorn a feud into it because of an upcoming event. Instead it was meant to be the definitive end of their program. Same went for Undertaker vs edge 2008 at summerslam. Taker vs Batista 2007 didn't need it. It it was ok to add at the survivor series. The finish ruined the premise of the match though. Really we've only had 2 hell in a cell matches that were both great and the use of the match made sense since 2006 (I don't count taker vs Brock 2015. Never saw it, heard great things, but there should never ever be a second hell in a cell match between two people when the match is designed to be the end of a feud with no exceptions)

1 thing I absolutely hate about the titles in the wwe now a days is that they have 4 of them that look the same. I mean overall, all the titles except the IC title look like shyt. Titles used to look prestigious, something a guy would kill himself to get; now a days shyt looks like a prop that is an inconvenience for them to carry

100% agreed. "b b b but the UFC titles all have the s s same design". The UFC titles also don't look like flea market props that you'd be embarrassed to wear as a champion.

It was atrocious how they let the WWE title, the top title in the company be the Spinner and non-spinner Spinner belt for 8 years. EIGHT YEARS. That shyt should have gone the way of the Smokin' Skull and Brahma Bull belts, and disappeared the first time after the person who the belts were made for lost them.

WWE should stop trying to be like UFC and be what it is; wrestling. Embrace the over the top,the pageantry, the gaudiness, and etc. Belts should be unique and standout, not blend in. And this goes back to what I was saying earlier, if people want UFC, they'll watch UFC, not WWE.

Here's the problem. Vince hates money and is on some level ashamed of having made his money in professional wrestling. Just think about the fact that it's a banned term from being used on the air.

Stop pushing random indy midgets into main titles pictures to have 6 star matches with no storyline.

Just because you do a 450 splash don't make you the greatest thing since sliced bread.

No competition.

Wwe had WCW & ECW to help change & shape the culture for wrestling in the 90s.

Same thing could be said about nwa/awa in the 80s.

Nobody's really bringing anything new to the table. Maybe LU, but it doesn't have enough pull to really have influence on the game.

Punk and Bryan could act, these guys aren't even trying to be characters. Just relying off the indy name to push merch/story.
When Bryan was doing that Team Hell No stuff, he did commentary on main event or superstars..and he found away to bring BEAR into the conversation during that match in like 10 fukking ways:laugh:

Likeable baby faces. It's shocking how different the reaction to Goldberg is compared to the regular faces. Part of that is booking and who they put in what roles. I think Cena has been a great face for a couple of years but even he was bad for a while.
