"I graduated from a little school in New Jersey."

"Heading to my grandparents "cottage" Downeast."

"I'm a "cradle" Episcopalian."

"We're headed to the down shore dinner at the U Club."

"We're playing a round at Maidstone."

"My children prep at St. Grottlesex."

"I was in a ski accident in Courcheval".

"My daughter debuted at the Tuxedo Ball".

"I'll be racing a single at the HRR."

Seeing three letter decals on cars like MVY and ACK.
You win :russ:

I feel like if a person has a decent to great career/ job but they tend to:

-drive a modest, reliable car (Honda, Subaru, etc.)
-live in a modest home but the home has nice, modern, minimalistic aesthetic
-a focus on travel and is not all over social media with it
-humble, lowkey person
-clothing isn't high priced per se but the fit is immaculate
-fridge has whole foods in it (not the grocery store but foods like whole grains, blended juices, organic supplements, etc.)

As a former financial advisor, I noticed these things among my black clientele.:wow:

Obvious things like Aston Martin’s, Ferrari’s, summer homes, and nice watches. The humble multi millionaire thing is a huge myth, everyone has their thing.

Simplest one is valuing their free time over money.

One some people maybe like why the hell would be pay for xyz, when you could xyz, whereas someone well off will just pay for a service to make their life more convenient.

Another big thing is travel. Someone who's well off may travel like 2-5 times a month, including intentionally.

When it comes to cacs, don’t let them fool you. Sales, stealing and using gov funds/ subsidies meant for the “poor” are how they stay rich/ wealthy. I learned this lesson as a kid from my moms boss. He was from NY old money elite…

Don’t get me started on how these rich cacs in Marin County are really getting their money…:sas2:

…allegedly, of course
Yeah I mean even in beverly hills, a decent portion of homes have regular every cars like toyota priuses and camrys, as well as a BMW or some type of mercedes.

Lift tickets - people will leave the lift ticket on a winter jacket to show they've been to a ski resort.

Tanning - "I charred in Cabo" tanning is a wealth display for white people ; it shows they could afford a tropical vacation

Baggage claim tickets are a wealth display - people leave baggage claim tickets on luggage to show that they travel alot.

When they tell you about their vacations the usually drop some.

The location; what they did; and often where they stay. Its never at a hotel. Its at their property or a family members vacation property. if it is at a luxury resort; they're somehow not paying a dime for it from some connection or "job benefit" :damn:
