As someone who is long term single, and pretty ambivalent about marriage, and prone towards multiple relationships, there is real value there. There are many events, that I would love to go with someone, but due to the various natures of non commitment relationship, I can't always find someone to go with, so I miss out on those experiences. Not always, but often enough to notice. I don't see myself being with one person for the rest of my life, but I understand the fulfillment and comfort that many find.

It's not for anyone to tell you the benefits of relationships, you have to value them first and determine those benefits on your own. There is a lot of be said of partnership/companionship, intimacy and general conversation from the opposite sex. Friends are one thing, but the ones you can lay naked with are another. I don't think linking up for the sake of is cool, but if you happen to find someone that checks your boxes, I say go for it.
