we talking only educational books, or for entertainment too? If the latter....

I mentioned in another thread I'm having a hard time getting through Mario Puzo's Fools Die. About half way through, but the story is kind of slow to me.

I also recently picked up Shakespeare's complete works and started Two Gentlemen of Verona. On Act III right now. Good read so far, I can tell shyts about to go down

Nah anything goes bro. My reading list is eclectic.

Bob Woodward "The Price of Politics". It kinda sucks compared to his earlier books though. Mad I bought this book.

Finished Fools Die. It really picked up towards the end.

Just picked up "I, Claudius." So that's my next quest.

Plan on picking up Souls of Black Folk after I'm done reading The Autobiography of Malcolm X. I still haven't been able to get a hold of Richard Pryor's autobiography :damn: if I can find it then that is getting read first.

Currently reading/rereading:

-Limited Inc., Jacques Derrida
-Philosophical Investigations, Ludwig Wittgenstein
-The Accursed Share Vol. II-III, Georges Bataille
-The African Origin of Civilization: Myth or Reality?, Cheikh Anta Diop (Unfortunately abridged. No linguistic notes...)

Just finished reading/rereading:
-The Black Atlantic, Paul Gilroy
-Agnotology: The Making and Unmaking of Ignorance, Ed. Robert Proctor (I'd recommend this more than anything on here. Most of these books are of interest to exactly me, but I believe this is essential reading for the culturally and critically aware of any type)
-Words upon Words, Jean Starobinski/Ferdinand de Saussure

So: 3 on linguistics/semiotics/philosophy of language, one on unorthodox anthropology/pseudo-economic theory, 2 that consider the very foundation of Black identity, and an anthology on an inchoate field of study.

Still a dork, I guess.
