I make six figures but she doesn’t let me see the kid and when I took her to court she said she lost her job so I had to pay more.

Now the mother is forcing the child is saying abusive things about when I tried to get custody have to save up more or make more of an effort when they are older
Damn bruh! Sorry to hear. My mom was actually similar after my parents had divorced. I think her lawyers had advised her to not work so she could receive more money. Growin up, I’d always hear my mom say, “I don’t need no job and I ain’t lookin for a job” she was and is still so bitter… the lawyers and parent who is trying to damage the dad may (or may not) realize they’re destroying the child’s /children’s relationship with their father which leads to even more problems

My dad made great money…similar to you… they were married tho so he got hit with child support, maintenance/spousal support, and “ordered” to give her properties.

shyttt I don’t believe in this “mythical” house wife BS. The broker a chick is, the more damage she can do.

First of all, I don't pay child support.

And second of all, that doesn't address the issue.

People get into relationships and sometimes they don't work out. That's just life.
That doesn't mean you suddenly should be free to punish men to hell and back.

:what:
I was quick to reply back but forgot that’s buddy’s shtick on here :mjlol:

and I agree with you the system is archaic and should change

Yeah I was told this by my lawyer it’s why men owe 50k in child support one day

And if you think you have a good relationship with your baby mom do you have a girlfriend that’s when they act up

my ex wife and I had a kinda bad relationship originally. but we been divorced for like 5 years now and we cool.

I'm allowed to see my kid whenever I want as long as she's not in school. we live in different states, so that's the only obstacle I have to worry about. but for the most part, I can have her up here for any holiday, spring break, summer break and christmas break. so I try to make the best of a hard situation.

my ex ended up going thru a second falied marriage since we been apart, and it seems like her attitude changed drastically after that happened. also my kids and my ex wife like my current GF, so that's a bonus as well.

last year (2022), I actually had the ex wife and the gf over for christmas, which was ::mindblown:: and awkward at first, but it ended up being OK in the end.

Money enriches your life where you don't have to struggle and work till you're 75. That's all that matters to me. $1700/month over 18 years is a paid off house.

And you don't make 100k so you don't have to worry about that. My friend makes at least 150k. He got off light. He's got plenty of money for investment, he has 3-4 properties.

That's another thing where men head fukk themselves over.... living vicariously through another man's child support. Yall ain't these celebrities who are ordered these high supports. If you making 15 an hour you not gonna pay 1700 duh

Have yall even seen a child support calculation form? Its all based on existing income/expenses. If your and the child's income/expenses don't add up to a certain amount, you aren't going to have to pay something larger. Its all math based on existing income/expenses. Op should actually be ashamed comin trying to humble brag on the amount he pays, while getting you all riled up and not wanting to take care of kids based on an outlier case.

@JetFueledThoughts @Ezekiel 25:17

the below is a more average case.breakdown where both parents make about 60k combined. and believe it or not, the first column is what the mother makes so you see her portion is more. the second column is what the father makes, and the last column is the total.

so yall can save that "courts are against men" BULLshyt. women lie, men lie, numbers dont. and if you have a child with a broke bytch that's on YOU!

Actually child support is still substantial even if you make $150k. A guy could be making $65k but got $700 payments which is still a lot. That's still a house. That's $150k - $180k. Every cent counts when it comes to investments and retirement.

Only rich men can truly afford Child support.
