What are your real thoughts on Tyler Perry?

Not a fan of many of his films but I'm proud of him nonetheless. I won't bootleg his shyt under any circumstance. If there's a TP movie I actually want to see, I'm buying it legit. Won't fukk over another black man like that.

Great entrepreneur. All the Madea films are . His non Madea movies are way too melodramatic & cliche but some arent bad. I liked Good Deeds & for Colored Girls. He should try to put on young black directors that are actually creative behind the camera

Obviously he's an excellent entrepreneur but most of his films leave something to be desired. In reality most movies that are put out in general suck, at least black folks are of his. The first "Why Did I Get Married" and "Daddy's Little Girls" were pretty good though.

Some of them are absolute garbage though so some hate is warranted. I think he needs to outsource to some better writers now since he has tons of cash to do this. I do admire that he puts black actors/actresses on though.

Because people find it entertaining and don't take the character serioiusly.....

People love the character. Is it over the top? Absolutely IMO, but I think that's one of the points of the character.

His horrible foreshadowing when writing is what kills me.
